ATI Open Day, 31st May 2005
You are warmly invited to an Open Day on May 31st 2005
The focus of the day will be the interdisciplinary research on devices, systems and software for communications and multimedia applications, which is carried out within the School of Electronics and Physical Science at Surrey.
Presentations in the morning will focus on the roles of partnerships and multidisciplinarity for successful research in science and engineering. In the afternoon, there will be oportunities to visit the Advanced Technology Institute (ATI), the home of the University's research into future electronics and photonics for communications and information technology, including the Nano-Electronics Centre. Tours of the ATI research laboratories and technology demonstrations will be on offer.
The programme will also include the official launch of the I-Lab, a new interdisciplinary venture "to design and develop innovative ways of using media and communication technologies to improve the way we live, work and play."
